Role Description The Tasting Room Associate is a part-time(10-20hrs/week), on-site position based in Woodinville, WA. This role involves greeting guests, presenting wines, and guiding tastings in an engaging and educational manner. Daily responsibilities include explaining wine profiles and production methods, answering guest questions, and providing recommendations to support wine purchases. The associate will handle point-of-sale transactions, manage inventory on the floor, restock merchandise, and ensure the tasting room is clean, organized, and ready for service. The role also includes supporting winery events, maintaining compliance with alcohol service regulations, and collaborating with team members to deliver consistently excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Wine Education and product knowledge skills to confidently describe wines, tasting notes, and winemaking processes.
• Wine Sales experience and comfort with upselling, club memberships, and meeting sales goals.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build rapport with diverse guests and work effectively with team members.
• Customer Service skills to provide attentive, friendly, and professional support throughout the guest experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift cases of wine or supplies as needed, and work weekends, evenings, and some observed holidays.
• Prior tasting room, retail, hospitality, or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with point-of-sale systems, Wine Direct/Commerce7 is a plus.
• Valid authorization to serve alcohol in Washington State (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
