As the Tasting Room Coordinator, you are the heartbeat of our guest experience. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and daily floor operations. We are looking for a proactive leader who can mentor a team, optimize workflows, and maintain the prestige of the Novelty Hill-Januik brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily tasting room flow, managing reservations via Tock/Email/Phone to ensure seamless guest transitions.
- Team Leadership: Create weekly schedules and set the gold standard for service. Lead pre-shift briefings and collaborate with the Winemaking and DtC teams to develop robust staff training programs.
- Sales & Growth: Implement initiatives to drive foot traffic, increase wine club conversions, and motivate staff to hit sales targets.
- Logistics & Inventory: Manage monthly inventory counts and ensure the tasting room is flawlessly stocked and organized.
- Event Coordination: Play a pivotal role in Wine Club release weekends and partner with the Outbound Sales Director to execute bespoke VIP experiences.
- Menu Curation: Maintain and update weekly tasting menus to reflect current releases and seasonal offerings.
Minimum Requirements:
- Management Experience: Minimum 2 years of retail or hospitality management experience with a proven track record of driving sales in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in fine dining, upscale hospitality, or the wine industry is highly preferred.
- Availability: A consistent Thursday – Monday schedule is required.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; you will be the primary point of contact for VIP guests and internal leadership.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage complex schedules and inventory without oversight.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Hourly Wage: $22.00 – $24.00/hour (DOE)
- Estimated Gratuities: Historically, this role earns an additional $10.00+ per hourthrough our tip pool.
- Total Target Earning Potential: $32.00 – $36.00+ per hour.
