Tasting Room Associate - Weekends

At Avallé, we believe every visit should feel like a gathering among old friends. Set on the grounds of Matthews Farm, our tasting room is a place of warmth, curiosity, and celebration. We're looking for a tasting room associate who embodies that spirit from the very first welcome.

The Role

• Lead guests through curated wine tastings, sharing the story behind each pour
• Build genuine connections with guests, offering thoughtful recommendations based on their preferences
• Process wine sales, club sign-ups, and to-go orders accurately through our POS system
• Coordinate with the host and fellow associates to ensure seamless, well-paced service
• Verify age ID for all guests per Washington alcohol regulations
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked tasting bar and presentable common areas throughout service
• Support set-up, breakdown, and resets between seatings
• Champion our wine club, helping guests discover whether membership is the right fit for them

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older at time of hire
• MAST 12 permit required to pour alcohol (can be attained after hire)
• Previous tasting room, server, bartending, or guest-facing hospitality experience preferred
• Working with a sense of urgency
• Warm, outgoing personality with genuine passion for hospitality
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort walking outdoors
• Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Genuine interest in wine and willingness to learn; prior wine knowledge a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to lift 50 lbs
