Tasting Room Associate (Seasonal)

Overview:
Samā Cellars is looking for warm, reliable, and hospitality-driven individuals to join our team as Seasonal Tasting Room Associate for the summer season. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing boutique winery dedicated to quality, community, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

As a member of our tasting room team, you’ll play an important role in bringing the Samā Cellars story to life. From welcoming guests and guiding tastings to supporting sales and events, you’ll help create memorable experiences that reflect the heart of our brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and provide a gracious, engaging, and memorable tasting room experience.
• Lead wine tastings and share knowledge about our wines, vineyards, and winemaking approach.
• Guide guests through tasting flights with confidence, warmth, and enthusiasm.
• Process wine and merchandise purchases accurately through our POS system.
• Assist with opening, closing, setup, and daily cleanliness of the tasting room.
• Maintain organized and well-stocked guest and back-of-house spaces.
• Support wine club events, private tastings, and occasional off-site events.
• Work as part of a collaborative team to deliver exceptional hospitality during the busy summer season.

Requirements:

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Prior hospitality, retail, or tasting room experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, a love for storytelling, and a passion for wine. Advanced wine knowledge or certification (e.g., WSET, CMS, CSW) is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems, reservation platforms, and inventory management.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as scheduled.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Required permits (MAST and Food Handler’s) or ability to obtain promptly.

Schedule:

• Part Time ~10 hrs. / week
• Seasonal position running Memorial Day through Labor Day
• Friday and Saturday availability required
• Opportunity to pick up additional shifts based on business needs
• Flexibility to assist with on-site and occasional off-site events
