Position Summary

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager oversees all wine warehouse operations, logistics workflows, and internal distribution activities. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, operational efficiency, and staff supervision. The position works closely with internal partners across Winemaking, Tasting Room, Restaurants, Sales, and Accounting to support organizational goals and ensure smooth product movement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, staging and shipping wine
  • Ensure accurate picking, packing and fulfillment of direct-to-consumer and wholesale orders
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness and compliance with all safety standards
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment; ensure all equipment is properly maintained
  • Maintain adequate levels of shipping supplies and reorder, as needed
  • Maintain strong working relationships with logistics vendors (e.g., FedEx, UPS, Vintners Logistics)
  • Support seasonal high-volume periods (club shipments, holidays) with staffing plans and workflow adjustments

Inventory Management

  • Conduct cycle counts and monthly physical inventories across multiple storage locations
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with Accounting
  • Process inventory transfers between warehouse, offsite storage, tasting rooms and restaurants
  • Maintain accurate product availability and communicate low-stock alerts to relevant departments

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • People management and daily support for small team (shipping and delivery)
  • Crosstrain team members to ensure ongoing coverage
  • Serve as back-up for shipping and delivery duties when needed

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Coordinate product needs with Tasting Room, Restaurants, Sales, Winemaking and Marketing
  • Fulfill sample requests and internal orders in a timely manner

Facilities & Safety

  • Oversee general warehouse maintenance; escalate larger facility needs to Facilities Management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines and internal safety procedures
  • Maintain documentation, logs and records required for audits or internal controls

Required Qualifications

  • 3 – 5+ years of warehouse, logistics or fulfillment experience
  • 1 – 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
  • Strong proficiency with warehouse management or ERP systems (e.g., Intacct, C7)
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Wine, beverage, or CPG industry experience
  • Experience managing inventory in multiple locations
  • Knowledge of DTC shipping compliance regulations (helpful but not required)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 40–60 lbs regularly
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and warehouse vehicles
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and work in temperature-varied environments for extended periods

Work Environment

  • Primary work performed in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to production areas
  • Seasonal peaks may require adjusted hours or occasional weekend support
  • Requires interaction with cross-functional teams, logistics vendors and customers

Pay Range Details

The pay range for incoming hires into this position is $70k - $75k. Within this range, actual individual starting pay is determined by a variety of factors, including a candidate’s experience, job-related skills, and relevant training.
